# Available jurisdictions

## Restricted

Shores, including minting, staking and the Shores app, is **not available** to persons who are residents of, located in, or incorporated in:

* the **United States**
* **Australia**
* \[TBD: other restricted jurisdictions, including sanctioned countries]

Access is enforced through identity checks, geoblocking and the [Interface terms of use](/legal/terms-of-use).

## Available

Persons outside the restricted list who pass identity checks may deposit, subject to local law. You are responsible for knowing whether you may lawfully hold shUSD where you live.
